Regional Sales Executive

Develops and executes a sales plan to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the organization. Responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume of Powell's products and/or services. Requires a bachelor's degree. Reports to Sales Director.
Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales opportunities
Establish and develop relationships with current and prospective clients
Recommend, promote and sell company products and services to current and potential clients
Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements
Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
Generate new and repeat sales of company products and services
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts assigned
Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
Deliver product presentations at client sites, conferences and exhibitions
Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
Follow-up on new sales leads and referrals to increase sales potential
Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific target opportunities
Prepare detailed equipment proposals and perform sales contract reviews
Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows
Help to identify and resolve client concerns/complaints
Prepare and maintain a variety of sales status reports, including activities, closings, follow-up and adherence to department and company goals as required of the department manager
Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans and strategy as needed
Manage sales accounts through continuous quality checks and other follow-up
Ability to estimate, negotiate and respond to commercial and technical clarifications
Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
BS Degree in Engineering, Business or Technical Sales required
Minimum 5 years' experience in an Engineering or Sales & Marketing role
Proven ability to effectively establish and maintain relationships with clients' senior leaders
Proven ability to effectively converse, present and make product and service recommendations with clients' senior leaders
Required skills: presentation skills, client relationships, negotiation, prospecting, creativity, sales planning, independence, business acumen
General working knowledge of electrical products and applications
Ability to learn company products and services
Ability to learn and become proficient at quoting company products and services
Ability to become knowledgeable with electrical and power distribution products, concepts and applications
Ability to become knowledgeable with NEC, ANSI and IEC power distribution equipment application standards
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, computer skills, and work plans skills
Ability to develop and deliver product presentations
Ability to work under pressure and put in the required time to meet deadlines
Work will require significant local or regional travel to current and potential clients.
Work requires a willingness to work a schedule above and beyond normal working hours to meet critical client deadlines.
Work does require occasional overnight travel and possibly international travel.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
