Broomall Presbyterian Village is seeking a full-time Nurse Manager for the 11PM to 7AM shift. The Nurse Manager supervises staff and ensures that resident care is provided in a manner which maintains or promotes the highest practical level of functioning. Collaborates with the charge nurses and the Director of Nursing in establishing specific goals; determining work procedures and expediting work flow; insuring compliance with all operating policies and procedures the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, the Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations and CMS regulations. Ensures ongoing and effective communication with staff and supervisors. Effectively manages daily operations of assigned unit or units.
Basic Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of two years' experience in related nursing positions with supervisory experience.
Education/Training: Graduate of an approved school of nursing; current Pennsylvania license to practice as a registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; familiarity with computer keyboard; knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and incompatibilities; decision-making skill; proficient assessment skills; thorough knowledge of current long-term care nursing practices in accordance with federal and state regulations; auditory and visual skills; ability to stand, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less.
